John founded Shenandoah Valley Teen Challenge in 2000, and has served as Executive Director since the inception of the Ministry. He hold a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, a Masters in Pastoral Counseling and Religion, and a Master in Divinity in Professional Ministries. His current role at SVTC includes residing over the Board of Directors and serving as the Education Director responsible for all the components of Student Academics. He is also a credentialed chaplain and volunteers his time as a Battalion Chaplain with the Virginia Defense Force.
Novella assisted in the founding of SVTC and works alongside her husband, John. She holds an AA in Information Systems Technology and is completing her BS in Religion. Her current role is the Human Services and Intake Director of the residential program.
Pastor Justin has been with SVTC since 2005, his tenure began after going through the Teen Challenge program. He served as Youth Pastor for 2 years at Calvary A/G while working side by side with his father Rev. John Franich in launching the Men's Home in Staunton, VA shortly after coming to the valley. Justin is married to Ashley the Asst. Center Director and Office Administrator, they have a 2 Year Old Daughter Chloe and a 4 Month Old Lydia. Justin is responsible for overseeing the Staff & Students. Pastor Justin is an ordained minister by Potter's House Worship Center in Harrisonburg, Va underneath the leadership of Pastor's Dan & Renee Garber.
Pastor Ashley came to SVTC after her and Justin were married in 2008, prior to that she attended Christ for the Nations in Dallas, TX and received a ministry degree in Practical Theology. She has also served in various youth & children's ministry including currently leading the 4 & 5 year old class at our home church. Currently her responsibilities include handling all aspects of the administration and accounting for the ministry.
