Since August, our Broadway Center has remained at capacity with the need for more bed space. This being evident, we remodeled the Chapel to add additional beds and it is has remained at capacity the majority of the time since it's opening in January. This influx of students has created a bit more traffic in and out of the Chapel and we are hoping to get a fence installed as soon as possible.
Shenandoah Valley Teen Challenge needs your help! We are looking to raise some funds to build a fence to separate our Parking Lot at our Chapel in Mt. Jackson from the Neighboring Houses. The installation is nothing complicated as we have the skill available to install the panels, but we are in need of the funds to purchase the necessary material to build the fence. We have estimated right around $1,000 to install the first section of our fence which will provide an 8 ft. privacy buffer for the neighbors to shield them from some of the noise created by the traffic coming in and out.
Operating at capacity has also caused our cost to go up. As we are making every effort to meet our monthly budget, there just simply isn't an extra $1,000 available to purchase the necessary material. So we are asking for our supporters to donate to help us raise what is necessary to build this fence. Gifts can conveniently be made online via Credit Card, under the Gift Designation.
