The other night we had the wonderful opportunity to attend a Friday Night Worship Service called "Friday Night Fire" at our home Church The Potter's House Worship Center. After an incredible time of worship Pastor Chuck Balsamo delivered an incredible sermon based out of his upcoming book to be released "Make Me a Legend."
During the sermon Pastor Chuck encouraged the body that America is in need of another "Great Awakening" the statistics for how rapidly our country is declining into moral decay are staggering and it's time for the People of God to do something.
God used this sermon to re-clarify the vision of this ministry to me once again. After being moved deeply during the message I went home and was not able to get to sleep quickly, while sitting at my computer I began to hear God remind me of the vision of "Shenandoah Valley Teen Challenge" once again.
That God has raised up this ministry in this season to raise up men who will strive to live their lives in Moral Excellence. That we have been commissioned to raise up legends. Not necessarily legends who will be known by the masses if you will, but Men of God who will become legendary in their communities and homes because their Moral Fiber is unshakable by such a perverse generation.
I happen to have simple enough faith to believe that God can take the worse of drug addicts and turn them into these very legends. I pray that you would have the same faith as we move forward. We must achieve the vision, if ever our nation needed uncompromising people of God it's now.
